Tasting Room Attendant/Customer Service Representative
sip. Wine Bar is a self- serve wine bar in historic downtown Tinley Park, IL on the busy & popular Oak Park Avenue opening in January of 2020, with private event openings as soon as November 2019.
Our tasting room attendants are essential to the success of the sip. Wine Bar team! Attendants are responsible for ensuring guests enjoy their experience at sip. Wine Bar and contributing to restaurant set-up and breakdown. A unique and varied role, Tasting Room Attendants are responsible for providing wine tastings, handling retail sales, assisting with Wine Club Member activities, answering calls, and overseeing dining room and carry-out orders. From the wine education and company training they will receive from us, the Tasting Room Attendant will share with our guests their knowledge of our wines, products, and company. Tasting room attendants are tasked with ensuring prompt, quality care of all customer needs and concerns. Our Tasting Room Attendants create wonderful experiences and education for our guests in our tasting room.
Responsibilities include: efficient navigation of the Point-of-Sale system, overseeing carryout orders, running food, fulfilling guest requests, basic table services, sanitation, organization and proper food handling. Tasting room attendants must be able to follow standard operating procedures outlined by sip. Management. Applicants must be prepared to report to work as scheduled and punch in on the time clock in full uniform, ready to work no earlier than 5 minutes prior to shift. Tasting room attendants must maintain a professional appearance at all times and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Must represent the sip. management’s vision and values
At least 21 years of age
Hard-working, team player
Loves customer service!
Passion for people, wine, food and service!
Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
Good computer skills
Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; basic reading, listening and speaking skills
Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
Ability to communicate clearly with customers, managers, and team members
Must be able to read, write, and understand English
Food handler certificate
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform essential functions to sip.’s standards with reasonable accommodation
Certified in responsible alcohol service (where required by state, city, or municipality), sip. Wine Bar will help provide if needed
Experience in a casual dining or upscale dining environment or retail sales preferred
Experience in a wine environment or equivalent preferred
Basset certified
